Miniature Antifoam Control System
Foam formation is sensed electrically via two adjustable vessel needles. When foam contacts the needles, the internal controller automatically triggers anti-foam agent delivery via a touch peristaltic pump or the ultra-compact LAMBDA DOZITO miniature syringe pump. The DOZITO delivers micro-doses to prevent chemical overdosing while preserving space around the vessel platform.

Automatic Foam Management for Continuous Fermentation
Foam formation is a common challenge in microbial and cell culture processes, as excessive foam can interfere with gas exchange, contaminate exhaust filters, affect sensor performance, and increase the risk of culture loss. Effective foam control is therefore essential for maintaining stable and uninterrupted fermentation.
The LAMBDA Minifor2Bio touch features an integrated foam detection input within the control unit, enabling automatic foam management during cultivation. When connected to a foam probe, the controller continuously monitors foam formation and automatically activates the LAMBDA DOZITO miniature syringe pump to dispense a precisely controlled amount of antifoam agent.
By delivering only the required quantity of antifoam, the system minimizes chemical consumption while maintaining optimal process conditions. This intelligent automation reduces operator intervention, supports long-term unattended operation, and ensures stable, continuous fermentation.
Integrated Foam Detection
The Minifor2Bio touch control unit includes a dedicated integrated foam detection interface that continuously monitors the fermentation process through a connected foam probe. When foam is detected, the controller immediately initiates automatic antifoam dosing.
