Minifor2Bio touch
Fermenter-Bioreactor
Traditional bioreactors often come with expensive and inefficient heating, complex setups, occupy valuable lab spaces, improper mixing, shear stress, limited upgrade options, high maintenance etc. These challenges make bioreactor operation more complicated, costly, and less flexible.
LAMBDA takes a different approach. With more than 20+ innovations built into the Minifor2Bio touch, we address these common limitations to deliver a simpler, more compact, gentler, and more flexible bioreactor system.
LAMBDA Minifor2Bio touch: Less complexity. Less space. Less cost. More flexibility. Better cell growth. Designed to eliminate the common problems of traditional fermenters and bioreactors.

ENGINEERED DIFFERENTLY FOR BETTER CELL CULTIVATION
Extremely Compact Footprint
Just need an A4 sheet size of the bench space. Conventional bioreactor setups rely on bulky control towers, separate water bath recirculators, and a mess of external wiring. The LAMBDA Minifor2Bio touch integrates all control electronics, mass flow gas regulator, and heating elements into a single ultra-compact base unit with an A4 paper footprint (22" cm"×38" cm"×40" cm" ) and a total weight of just 7.5" kg" . This space-saving design allows up to four complete units to operate in the bench space typically required for a single conventional setup.

Optimized Vessel Design
The Minifor2Bio touch eliminates heavy, cumbersome metal headplates and fragile flat O-rings in favor of Pyrex borosilicate glass vessels featuring threaded side necks set at a 30° angle. A central threaded neck accommodates the agitation mechanism, while 6 to 8 peripheral side necks host sensors, sampling lines, and condensers. Reusable silicone multi-seal stoppers deliver reliable gas-tight seals, simplify handling, and withstand repeated autoclaving to prevent contamination vectors.

Revolutionary IR Heating
Instead of internal resistance rods that cause thermal hot spots or heavy double-walled water jackets that require expensive glass vessel, heating is provided by a 150" W" Infrared (IR) heat source with a gilded parabolic reflector situated beneath the vessel. Half of the IR light is absorbed by the glass vessel wall and half directly by the liquid culture, mimicking natural sunlight. This delivers uniform, gentle heat distribution, fast response times, and precise temperature regulation

Innovative Non-Rotational Mixing Technology
Inspired by nature, the Minifor2Bio touch uses an innovative up-and-down agitation with biomimicking fish-tail= discs. This simple yet highly effective mixing ensures easy sterility and thorough culture homogenization, all without complex magnetic coupling.

LEARN MORE
Biomimetic “Fish-Tail” Agitation Discs
Working in harmony with the vertical movement, the agitator utilizes nature-inspired, biomimetic "fish-tail" stirring discs. Designed without sharp edges or high shear zones, these discs produce efficient horizontal and vertical fluid mixing with minimal micro-eddies. This gentle bulk movement protects shear-sensitive mammalian, insect, and plant cell lines while delivering strong oxygen mass transfer.

Elimination of Expensive Standardized Headplates
Say Bye to Complex Head Plates. Same Probe, Sensors and other parts fits in all vessels from 35ml to 7L. The MINIFOR2Bio touch standardizes the neck dimensions across all vessel capacities (0.3 L, 1 L, 3 L, and 7 L). As a result, probes (pH, pO₂, temperature, and antifoam) and accessory ports are interchangeable across vessel sizes, eliminating the need to purchase duplicate sensors when scaling up or down

LEARN MORE
Unique Easy Sterility Construction
Maintaining long-term process sterility during extended continuous fermentations is simplified by removing all rotating mechanical penetrations. All sensors, feed lines, and gas outlets connect via elastic silicone stoppers and double-sealed multi-needle ports. The complete glass vessel assembly—including probes and tubing—can be autoclaved as a single unit without needing hot steam-in-place (SIP) utility lines.

Exceptional 35 mL to 6 L Working Volume Range
A single Minifor2Bio touch base unit supports interchangeable Pyrex vessels ranging from micro-screening volumes (35 mL ) up to full benchtop production capacities (6 L ). Process screening, media development, and scale-up studies can be performed on the exact same console hardware.

LEARN MORE
Maximal Accessibility and 360° Visibility
The console features an ergonomic stepped "cascade" layout: the touchscreen display sits up front, the vessel rests on the main platform, magnetic reagent bottle holders mount behind, and feed pumps sit overhead. This arrangement guarantees 360° visual monitoring of the vessel, keeps liquid tubing connections short, and grants easy physical access to all side ports during inoculation and sampling.

LEARN MORE
Self-Cleaning Micro-Sparger
Rigid glass or sintered metal spargers frequently clog when nutrient salts crystallize or media dries at the gas outlet. The Minifor2Bio touch features an elastic silicone micro-sparger with dynamic micro-punctures. Under active gas flow, the elastic pores stretch open to deliver tiny bubbles for high oxygen transfer. When gas flow stops, the pores automatically snap shut to prevent medium backflow. Temporary gas pressure increases expand the elastic matrix to dislodge salt deposits directly into the medium.

LEARN MORE
Precise Gas Supply
Instead of manual rotameters that fluctuate with pressure and temperature shifts, the unit employs an electronic thermal mass flow meter paired with a micro‑proportional needle valve. It directly measures mass flow rate (0–5 L/min) independent of backpressure variations. This design enables continuous, automated feedback regulation of dissolved oxygen (pO2) by dynamically adjusting airflow or gas supply, ensuring stable culture conditions without manual intervention.

Minimized Stainless Steel in the vessel
A corrosion-resistant design with minimal stainless steel exposure ensures reliable cultivation in aggressive and saline process environments.

Miniature Antifoam Control System
Foam formation is sensed electrically via two adjustable vessel needles. When foam contacts the needles, the internal controller automatically triggers anti-foam agent delivery via a touch peristaltic pump or the ultra-compact LAMBDA DOZITO miniature syringe pump. The DOZITO delivers micro-doses to prevent chemical overdosing while preserving space around the vessel platform.

Advanced Smart Cascade Functions
Cascade control creates links between individual outputs (requests) of control loops or between individual parameters. The results of the configuration are displayed in a clear graph.

Long term fermentation with LAMBDA Peristaltic pumps
Pumps specially developed for long term continuous processes like in fermentations and cell cultures. LAMBDA’s unique tubing compressing mechanics reduces pulsation and is very gentle to the tubing. No clamps, fixings or stoppers are required to hold the tubing in place. This leads to a long tubing life and the long term stability of flow rates even with low cost tubing.
